Those of you who have chicks, do you use feed with added ACS?

I was going to use the smallholder range and this obviously doesn't have it added but wondered if I should be using the one with it in.

Also will the broody just eat the chick crumb while she is with them or do I have to find some way to feed her something else?

I used chick crumb that was medicated because I didn't know the difference at the time

 

There seems to be strong feelings on both sides of this arguement looking at other forums threads but honestly I am not sure what I will choose next time, I guess a lot of it comes down to price and availibilty in your local area

 

I guess if you keep everything clean then you are at a reduced risk of cocci so the srguement may well be why medicate if you might not need to and also I bet the medications is not very natural

 

Anyway I am rambling and havent really been any help sorry!

I've used with and without, current stuff doesn't have it. I panicked a bit once when I read someones chicks all died from coccidosis, but on further reading i don't think it's required unless the chicks are on land that has been used for flocks for generations as the land could be contaminated.
