JB09
I have just started giving my girls garlic. I have given them half a small scoop in with their porridge but was wondering how often I should do this. Once a week? Or now I know they like it do you all think it would be better to just add a scoop to a grub full of pellets? Also rather randomly does the smell of the porridge made with their pellets make anyone else feel sick or is it just me? I was heaving this morning - I will still make it though as they love it! Redwing
I love the smell of pellet porridge I add a teaspoon of garlic to a full grub as and when I remember so I don't think you are a million miles away with that dose on a regular basis
Chook n Boo Mum
I fill a cereal storage container 2/3 full of mash or pellets, then add a few teaspoons of garlic powder, 2-3 scoops of limestone flour and a couple of handfuls of bokashi bran & mix well. I then add a spoonful of Poultry spice if I have it or feel they would benefit, to every bowl of porridge I make up. That way they always get a similar mix no matter who serves them!! The garlic is worse when the dogs decide to clear the bowls and come up for a cuddle........ Sha x
