GaryHas
help I've a chicken who is on her way out, and I would like to put her out of her misery as painlessly as posible, I've never done anything like this myself and the vet wants to charge an emergancy call out!! and god knows how much she will charge if I go in for a consultation and trys to fix her, they admit to not knowing about Chickens but that wont stop them taking the cash and streching it out. any idears welcome, I was hoping she would go quietly over the weekend( Only because I have no way of helping her)
Griffin
Break her neck, either by hand or by using the broomstick method. I'm sorry she's ill and I hope she's already passed quickly.
chelsea
Im sorry to hear about your hen but if you are unsure about what to do then maybe not attempt it and take the hen to the vets yourself for her to be painlessly put to sleep. its the kindest thing to do and she wont be suffering any longer. GaryHas
I've made the appointment, I think I knew what was best really, but sometimes I feel that some vets out there just try to pull more money out of you than they really need to, they could have done it lunch time if I wanted to pay for an emergancy call out, about £80!!!!
