katieadams
Perhaps give it a few more days and see what happens then? Certainly sounds promising! Give me a shout if you want any of the plastic eggs - I bought them off ebay, and got 6 of them. I really don't need 6, in fact, I don't really need any but will keep some just in case! Thank you - I'll keep you updated, cross your fingers for me (shame Beaky's crossing her legs!!). Everyone on this forum is so lovely - my ironing pile has become a mountain yet still here I am addicted to omlet rather than tackling it

smithy36
we are all in the same boat with teh distraction of chickens and Omlet! I was attracted to chickens for lots of reasons, but high on teh list was the "easy to look after" and "take very little time"!! I agree the feeeding/cleaning etc takes very little time... especially since i got my cube.... but what everyone fails to mention until you have them is that you need to get up half and hour earlier because you stand outside in you PJ's watching them and their antics in the morning and having a cuddle, then picking some grass for them....then another little chat, and then keep watching out of the window if one is in teh nest box... has she laid yet??? Then constant standing and watching you girls when you should be working /cooking /cleaning /ironing. I spent 2 hours yesterday evening "pottering" in the garden, picking up poo, and chatting to the chickens... no cleaning of the kitchen done!!! i think that I have lost at least an hour a day since getting them... if not longer!!
