4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Came yesterday. All set up...looking lovely!

Have bought: Layers Pellets, mixed corn, grit ready for the big day on Saturday!!!

 

Any other suggestions? Powders, worming stuff etc?

Some sort of wormer. I use verm-x which works great but most people on here use flubenvet.

 

Lots of grass seed for once they've eaten your garden

 

A plastice plate/bowl or glove for when you realise that hand feeding wasn't such a good idea because it really hurts.

 

And finally a nice, big bench for when all your friends come over to stare at your chickens

 

edit: and lots of treats!! your chickens will love you forever if you have treats

grapes, porridge, broccoli etc. yumyumyum

 

& Stalosan F is good for the soil...

& if you haven't already you'll want straw for the nesting box (NOT hay)

& wood shavings are good for the litter box

& chickens love a dust bath...old veg patch or a tyre full of soil...or something else creative works great

& lots of people use red mite powder although personally I don't

& you might want some wellies :D
