Two different eggs, different girls? Question with picture

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm probably going to look REALLY stupid! I've had 3 eggs now (Mon, Weds and today). Eggs 1 and 2 looked the same, but today's egg looks really different. I was wondering if they would all be from the same girl or whether another has started laying.

Attached a URL instead, as picture wasn't working (I'm such a technophobe!) .

Egg on the left is yesterday's, egg on the right is today and is quite speckled.

So are they from the same chook or are 2 of my girls laying?

Thanks

Debs

Hi I am no expert but i have a speckledy and a bit like you she seems the most developed and the egg on the right of your photo looks just like the egg I am getting and i dont have the other same breeds as u.

I get a speckled one most days now..and I got a big plain egg so am not sure where that one came from(my speckledy eggs are small)

I have 2 GNR /1 plymouth and rhode islandx /1 bluebelle and 1 speckledy

So i am going to guess its is the speckledy egg

indie

Yep - has to be! Our chickens eggs always look exactly the same - some chicks lay oval shape some rounded, colours are all different, but each hen always lays an identical looking egg - you will soon work out which is which and it makes it easy to track them.

I think that the eggs from Florence, our speckledly, are the most attractive. :D:D
