BeckyBoo
.....a flippin' Pepperpot !! My eldest came back from collecting eggs on Wednesday with the announcement "Mum, we've got a situation with the hens, Duck's broody". So I shot her down in flames with "don't be daft, Pepperpots don't go broody she'll just be laying an egg". But no, she growls, she fluffs up, she stuff the eggs under her tasty hot tum, little minx. Most unimpressed! Haven't got time to address it today, and we had 10 eggs today so it's not impacting on the others yet! Oh well, add it to the list of things to do..... badgerbluebadger
Little madame perhaps try tomorrow the water trick. Dipper likes to sit on the eggs until I remove which is great if they lay them before I go to work but so good if its in afternoon and get home to find her sitting on them. She seams quite happy for me to take them and then just gets up and joins Sam in the run - she is a weirdo chicken!
Egluntyne
One of my Pepperpots has been broody a couple of times....and she is such a hefty girl , it is a real struggle to get her off the nest, if she has a mind to stay put.
