3hens2cats Posted May 4, 2009 Share Posted May 4, 2009 hello, looking for some pearls of wisdom. Fudge crumpet has not laid for three days. She is usually the most reliable layer (first in, regular as clockwork - ) But she has been broody (having to go and rescue her out of the hen house, picking her up and her sitting on the grass at the side in a daze). Saturday seemed to be our first broody free day and since that day we have had an egg abscence from her - are the two related? Do they have a post broody egg free period?
