Short answer, never :roll: . Honestly, I hardly took the corrugated plastic off last year the weather was so rubbish. I'd take it off one day, then the next day it rained :evil: . So I left it on but put the sunshade over the top if the sun broke through. I think I doubled up the plastic sheets so just the very top of the run was covered.

I also leave mine on - on sunny days recently the dew has been really heavy and would soak the run.

If the forecast is for a sunny day, I fold it back during the day so as not to fry the girls, but put it back over at night once they are in bed.

I do have a shaded area as well - the green shade is under the tarp near the food and drink.
