Whilst the big girls have been out in the Omlet netting they have looked rather disinterested in the new girls (they never really noticed the 10 table birds over the winter either :? ), today I moved everything around so the new girls Eglu is in the middle of the Omlet netting - I figured the big girls couldn't ignore them in the middle of their play area, but they did!

So I spread some mixed corn inside and outside the Eglu run so all 6 were eating almost beak-to-beak - they did notice each other, but carried on with no fuss at all. I am inclined to have a go at freeranging together if this carries on the little ones are getting bigger - almost the size of the blackrock now. We have had them 5 weeks, so if they were 14 weeks when I got them they are now 19 weeks, even if they were younger they would be 16+ by now so I am tempted.
