Brindles chooks
Hi all, Has anyone been to the Rare Breeds Centre in Ashford? I've read a few articles / books etc saying it's a good day out for seeing different breeds of chicken, and an Eglu in action etc, but the website looks like it's really just for kiddies! And not much on there about chooks. Thoughts? Kate
kitchens
The Rare Breeds Centre is lovely but it is primarily for children. It's not very big and does provide a home for rare breed animals - but it the main that means pigs and sheep. The 'Tamworth Two' share a sty!! There is a petting area for children to stroke rabbits and lambs etc etc. Probably not what youa re looking for
seraphine
I second what Kitchens said, it is great for young children, but probably not what you're looking for if you'd be going sans kids!
Seagazer
They had quite a few different breeds of chickens when I went just before I got my girls last year. In fact they almost put me off as some of the chickens were huge! There is a nice walk you can do through some woods but mostly it is for kids but we really enjoyed ourselves.
