cluckynikki
I have had to move my two girls to a different part of the garden in an attempt to save the grass they had been on for the last three weeks. They are now fenced off in a flower bed and new grassed area but there is no room for the eglu. That has to stop on the patio at the moment. It means the girls have lost access to their nest for egg laying. I had covered an empty Quality Street tin in newspaper so there wasn't any shiny reflection, lined it with shredded paper and put it in a big plastic box on its side underneath a bush. But they both ignored it. Tilly valiantly staged an escape today, and headed off to the eglu to lay, whilst Coffee perched down by a bush to lay her egg. But I am feeling a bit mean. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
Redwing
You need to create a nice dark area, a wooden box with a short tunnel entrance would be good, you can buy stand alone nest boxes like this for ducks sometimes on ebay for about £
