Silkie eggs went in the incubator early this afternoon. I'm so excited. Really hope they hatch & I really want a cockerel too. So 21 days & counting. Yippee.

My 2 broodies are sharing the role of sitting on the same clutch of eggs - really not sure what will happen with those, whether they will hatch or not. There are 5 eggs underneath.

Those are most likely to be fertised by my Partridge Cochin - but also a slight chance of being fertilised by my lavender Araucana. The eggs are from - my gold legbar, my GL wyandotte, Bluebelle, Black Rock & Cuckoo Maran. Think they are due either 23rd or 30th May - can't remember.

I have noted down the silkie eggs due date - 3rd June.

 

Not forgetting the mixture of eggs & bantam eggs I have under a broody of my newly aquired 'egg friend'. They are due any day - will have to give him a ring!
