does this mean the worming im doing is working, do i do for a extra couple days etc.

I would say that the red bits you saw are probably red mites - either use red mite powder or diatomaceous earth:

Red Mite Powder from Omlet

Red Mite Powder from FlyteSoFancy

Diatomaceous Earth from Omlet

Diatomaceous Earth from FlyteSoFancy

Red mites are grey before blood sucking, and red after. Lice are much larger, and always grey (I think).

I don't have much experience of worms, but I think if you see them in the poo, then it means the worming is working. Only worm for 7 days as planned, but worm again in two weeks, to make sure you have killed the blighters off!

After that some TLC should do the trick :D

hi thanks for the reply. they are 2 legbars and 2 black copper marans, 8-9 mths old,

do i carry on worming for longer than 7 days or will they be fine, we on day 6.

Is it Flubenvet that you are using? I'd carry on till the 7th day and then repeat in around 3 weeks if you think they might be still infested.
