Lewis
I haven't used Omlet netting, but have used electric fencing on the farm. We just lay out the strings and poles around the field how we want them, make sure there is no cross over, make sure it is all pulled tight and then you can electrify it. The energisers we use run on car batterys, and they just clip on to the fencing. You can get something which hooks on and tells you when the battery needs replacing by flashing or making a noise. Sorry, I don't know enough, hopefully someone else will know.
Gamebird
Electrifying omlet netting is just the same as any other electric netting. See this thread and this thread and this recent one for more information. Hope this helps.
Guest
The only thing with a mains energiser it has to be near an electrical output (mains) obviously Not going to be much help as I run electric fencing of a 12V car battery which i periodically charge up(halfords 12V batterys are usually reasonable) I just clip the energiser live wire to the tape and then add the + /- terminals to make it live. It does have an on /off switch but i usually take a terminal off. I am looking at getting the omlet netting though so as has been said not sure what u need to do with omlet netting. Electric fencing is excellent....frightens me off! ouch! my energiser has a low level flashing light when the battery is low but I usually know now how long it will last for and it starts clicking slower too
