speckled hen
My DH went to see the girls last night and collect the eggs (normally collected at 11 am but we had been out all day) well he got a little surprise, Daisy was sat on the eggs!! I have been out to get the eggs as soon as the girls announce the arrival today and each time she has been sat in the nest box, I left her in case she was laying. Well, when I let the others free range she didnt appear so looked in the nest box and found one very cute broody light sussex I took her off the eggs and after a very rare cuddle put her in the garden and then removed the eggs. So what do I do now? Thanks in advance x
Scramble
We have a broody as well She's so determined to saty in the box (even though there's no eggs ) she digs her nails into the edge if you don't lift her high enough Really all I'm doing is poking her off the nest box twice a day, mon-fri 9:00am for half an hour and again at 7:00pm sat+ sun 11:00am for half an hour and again at 7:00pm There areBroody cages but personally I just lift her off Hopefully someone will come along with some better information Good Luck
