Met a lady the othr day with 4 girls. When she got her ex bats a year ago BHWT told her to feed them nothing but mixed corn with grit. She cooks them a dish of treats in the aft. rice cous cous spag (not on same day) and veggies etc,

Never had a darn softee , bloomin girls are thriving... 2 on the light side(never wormed but will now)

then there arr some of us with softee layers, feeding layers, all the supplements and still not winning!

thought mixed corn made em fat?

then BHWT work hard with Allen & Page & promote this ex bat stuff.

Buffie might have a view? My three ( pure breeds, not ex-bats) love the Allen and Page pellets btw.

yes so do mine unlike any other pellets(they refuse to eat them) must be something yummy in them.

Mine won't eat ANY pellets which is a nuisance as I can't leave them without a chicken sitter.

They get mash and all things illegal out of the kitchen.

Have you tried mixing a (very little) corn in the pellets - just to get them going? Just a sprinkle over the top?

 

I find that if I do this with anything new, they " accidentally" try the new food in their greed for corn.
