Willow
I went to order a roof rack system for my Vauxhall Zafira and it seems I have a Zafira produced at the time they changed roof rail system ('05). I don't know if I have newer or older system and have no idea what the difference is. Unfortunately it makes a significant difference in thule fitting system. Tried ringing roof bar retailers and they were no help - just said I must make sure I have the right version The earlier system has been described as having holes and the later having lugs - mine has neither just smooth rails front to back. Vauxhall site is useless, car was bought 2nd hand. Owners manual is no help either Any knowledgeable Zafira owners on here ?
Ain't Nobody Here
Sorry, we've got an Astra. We've got roofbars which fit into the grooves set into the roof. Found this Thule website. Any use?
Willow
Hurrah found the answer Apparently some Zafiras have actual rail attached at 2 points to the car that you can get your hand around or tie something to it and some have what can best be described as guttering that you would clamp something to it. I have the proper rail type which I could see but I didn't know about the other type cos I don't really look at cars
