Scaly tummy and no eggs

Recommended Posts

Hi

Hope you can help. Barbara has not laid an egg for over 2 weeks. I thought she might have worms so they have both been wormed with flubenvet. Tonight i have noticed that on her tummy - along her keel bone she has flaky skin with some feathers missing. The skin next to it looks yellowish.

She is running around and eating fine. Dustbathing and acting normal. They have a diet of layers pellets, some corn and occasional spaghetti. They also have a small amount of tuna in their pellet porridge most days. Prinny lays an egg neraly every day. They are both about 18 months old.

I have cleaned the house tonight and used barrier V1 disinfectant. I have put redmite powder in the nest with hemcore and plan to dust the girls with redmite powder and spray with xeno 200 tonight.

What do you think is wrong with her and do i need to do anything else??

Thanks for your advice and sorry for the essay!

Does Barbara sit in the nesting box a lot of the time? Our Mango used to roost in there overnight and she developed a bit of feather loss on her keel and sore looking skin. Their poops contain ammonia which can make them a bit sore if it has contact with the skin.
