Has my worm cast killed my runners?

Recommended Posts

I put my runners in a few weeks ago - they were a decent size and healthy. They are in a sunny spot out of the wind. I put them down on a bed of worm compost and cast. I've made sure I've watered them a lot as I know they are thirsty growers.

But they are wilting and not reviving. This started the day before yesterday. What is wrong with them do you think?

shocked by the cold? its still cold some nights

Try putting the top half of a coke bottle (or similar) over them as a cloche (take lid off when its hot)

It could be the worm cast stuff is too strong for them while they are young, you could try hedging your bets and moving some in to pots and hopefully one or the other half will survive!
