Ain't Nobody Here

Anybody tried the South Beach diet?

Recommended Posts

I've been having a poached egg on a slice of ham with a couple of cherry tomatoes for breakfast most days. Vegetable juice too.

Snack - celery filled with low fat cream cheese or peanut butter (no added sugar).

Small handful of nuts if you have a craving for something savoury.

Make up pots of sugar-free jelly. Good if you need something sweet.

Cut out all the bread, pasta & sugar. I've found that surpringly easy.

Try some of the recipes in the cookbook if you have it. They're very tasty!

i am at the end of my second week, found it much easier than i thought but did break the rules on the last two days. But i did find that once i broke it i certainly started craving just anything and everything. if i stayed on track it certainly stops the cravings and rushing to the fridge every five minutes.Im looking forward to next week, havent weighed my self yet - have to go round a friends to do that but i know i have lost weight.

looking forward to making some wholemeal bread. just i hope i dont eat it all at once

I've done 2 weeks, and have found it very easy (I did have a couple of glasses of wine last night though, which isn't technically allowed until Monday for me!).

So far I've lost 3.5 lbs, so not bad going!

As ANH said, some of the recipes are lovely. I particularly liked the Coconut chicken.
