legend21
Hi All, I have had my exbatts for a 10 days, they are enjoying free ranging, they are on day 5 of Flubenvet and some are having liquid poo but I am putting this down to new food in their diet. Today one of them has poo that looks like the yolk of an egg with brown poo (sorry for the description) when I first saw it I genuinely thought she had passed and egg yolk. They are on ACV in their water and all are eating and happy. I have looked through the poo section but just want someone to say it will all pass and she will be okay. She has done this twice today. Budgies
It sounds like she's doing shell less eggs, Legend21. Are they being fed on ex-batt food? If not, it might be worth adding limestone flour with some cod liver oil to their food - she probably needs calcium. Alternatively, you could add Zolcal-D (a liquid calcium supplement) to their drinking water.
legend21
Yes she is still on exbat food and loves it, I have bought loads of stuff and limestone flour was not one of the things I bought, I will go to my horsey shop tomorrow and get it, do I put it in their feed I am not sure of the six of them which one it is I have poultry spice which I have not tried would that help in the interim. How much do I put in their feed? thank you
sandyhas3chucks
their tums probbly upset by flubenvet. I would let their tums have settled for a couple of weeks 1st, as they are often upset (tums) with the stress change etc and can take a couple of weeks or so to settle. Shouldn't in theory need the other stuff when on the ex batts but won't hurt in the short term, once they are recovered exceess calcium is not good for them either,
