my os was giving the girls a cuddle earlier and noticed that skye & scarlet are warmer than the other 2 and he's worried bless him. they are bigger than tia and ebony and about 20 weeks old. i told him i'd ask you lovely lot just to put his mind at rest

Chickens are surprisingly warm, to me at any rate it was a surprise when I first handled them. Maybe those two have slightly less feathers than the others so you notice it more - or perhaps they'd just been in the sun!

 

As long as they're eating, drinking and looking busy I wouldn't worry too much.

Chooks do have a higher temperature than us (they are 105deg). I find that my dark hens feel warmer too as they absorb the heat more.

 

Don't worry, if they have enough shade, they'll go and cool down.
