The Naming of the Chooks as follows.

 

Violet.

Daisy.

Heather.

Fern.

 

I had no input in naming them, it's all Eileens fault........ . I wanted to call them Zeppelin, Motorhead, Clash and Madness, but I was over-ruled. I'll post individual pics when I can get them to stay still and pose.

 

They're Warrens or ISA Browns, and not Ginger Nut Rangers. What no smiley for Warrens?!..

We were given to understand that Warrens/ISA Browns were a cross between the Rhode Island Red and the Rhode Island White, and that Ginger Nut Rangers were a cross between the Rhode Island Red and the Light Sussex. As we're total novices at chickens we stand to be corrected on this. Reading the discription of both birds they sound exactly alike ie, friendly, intelligent, inquisitive and good layers.

We're still arguing about names for our two AND trying to stop my husband referring to them by my mum and aunty's names!
