Many thanks.
Chickvic
Mine like raisins so I just dunk a couple in the powder - shake off any excess and feed them that way. Don't know how scientific that is but it works for my girls.

Egluntyne
You are supposed to mix it with their pellets at a rate of 1.2g Flubenvet to 4kg of feed, over seven days, and discard the medicated feed after that. That way, they get the correct dose according to their age and weight.
Chickvic
Sorry Egluntine, how much feed would 2 girls get through? Ruby isn't laying so doesn't eat as much and a full grub lasts 4-5 days easily! Sometimes longer, they do free rang every day so I regularly worm them evrry 3 months. How much flubenvet would I add to how much food for 2 girls? I use the raisin/grape method because I know they'll both take it.
indigopurple
i have the 1% and added 6g to 2kg of food. i then put this food in a seperate tin and have used that in the grub. they did throw a lot on the floor the first day (think i overfilled the grub) so i am going to have to make up another batch before the seven days is up i reckon. By adding the Flubenvet to the food (and reducing treats!) the hens take in the Flubenvet gradually over the course of the day rather than in one hit, which is the recommended way.
