i've just looked at my little broody pekin and she is covered in lice poor little thing , so i straight away came and had a look for a product to kill them but im very confused, i need a product to springle on the hen to kill all the lice bu which one should i use some say repell lice but will that kill them? than some say for use only on bedding and around bedding but how will that kill all the the lice so can someone give me a link to the product you use or just tell me the name of the product

Johnson's Anti Mite and Insect Spray *not licensed for use on poultry in UK will do the trick nicely.

 

Available at a decent pet shop and online.

 

There is an egg withdrawal period of a couple of days though.

I love it.

 

It smells divine. I have just powdered all my girls' armpits and bottoms with it this afternoon.

 

It is more of a preventative than a treatment though.

Is that louse powder different to the red mite powder? Should i be using both ? and do you dust your girls with it as a matter of course?

I'll be honest...I can't see a difference. The both smell exactly the same and have the same ingredients.

 

I do my girls about once a month - ish.
