Eggquisite
Hi fellow Omleteers We're after a little bit of advice if possible.. We've had our lovely girls three weeks now so their ages range from c. 9-10 weeks old. They currently have their and we have used our bunny run (quite a large round run) to give them some extra space to play in. We have quite a sizable garden which goes round to the front of the house next to a little lane (which is gated off with chicken wire), oh & we have a cricket pitch to the right of us which has wire fencing separating our garden off but we don't yet have all the chicken wire in place. We would love to let our girls out & roam around free range but we're conscious that 1. we don't yet have all the chicken wire in place & 2. they don't have their wings clipped (seems a little too early). Should we be patient & wait until we have all the chicken wire in place? I'm concerned they may dart off & not come back All advice would be welcome
Egluntyne
I'd be inclined to wait until you have plugged all gaps. It sounds as if you have given them plenty of playing out space, and they are still very young.
Eggquisite
Thanks Egluntine, have taken your advise... So OH has been busy today trying to secure the fencing Despite that though, we think we'll leave then a little longer & wait until we have some time off next month
