Dog Friendly Bedding

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Our Toy Poodle has been at vet hospital all weekend as he ate several hen poos :vom: and in process ate loads of Easibed!!! This jammed in his small intestine, just after the stomach and after some treatment it cleared through and he is nearly back to his normal self now.

Easybed is fantastic stuff but I wondered if anyone has ideas about alternatives which would be pooch friendly. I guess a bigger dog would have been fine, Oscar is a small breed and also still a pup.

No more mooching around the garden for him for now!!!

Thanks in advance, FR :D

My pooch eats chicken poop... then promptly sicks up on our living room carpet (Sorry if anyone is eating! :silenced::vom: ) No matter how hard I try to keep her away from the stuff she keeps finding it. Thankfully, it's the bits on the lawn or on the slabs she's hoovered up so no bedding goes down. Will be extra vigilant re: the bedding from now on though.

I'm considering a water pistol or those clanging discs as aversion training. Thing is, my dog loves rabbit raisins and horse poop too, this is going to be an on going battle I think.

Hope your Toy Poodle is better soon FlyingRamses. xxx

Oscar much better thanks, back to normal.

We do not let him in the hens run!! He eats bits off the lawn as it does spread when we and the hens go in and out of the run. There is also piles of used Easibed in the garden which we use for composting.

We will just try to keep the garden clearer I think.

Thanks for the tips!
