HI,

 

One of my hens laid an egg 2 days ago, but since then nothing, and there hasn't been any nests made either.

 

I have only had my hens for 5 days so I know I'm asking alot but I did think that once they started laying it would be all engines go !

 

Could putting a fake in the nests encourage them ???

 

Or am I just being impatient ???

Lady Lay normally Lays Between 12pm - 6pm (she once laid at 7pm and on the day she laid she laid 2 eggs )

 

and

 

Orakiah Normally Lays Between 10am - 5pm

Well there you go then ! Learning every day at the moment ! Still new to all this - I will keep checking, am thinking I might let them out the run today to explore, so maybe one of them will go off and lay somewhere - at the least it might cheer them up and make them lay !
