My chicks are nearly 14 weeks now and im pretty certain one of my silkies is a cockrell and im not sure abt one of my Sussex but the cockrell Silkie and one sussez in particular seem to be fighting a lot lately.

 

Any tips for sexing light sussex?

Post pics The Sussex will be easy to sex now. Boys with much more head gear and a completely different stance.

Here is my Light Sussex Cockerel. Compare his head gear with that of his companion, a Speckled Sussex pullet. They are 12 weeks old.

hmmm now im confused as mine are 14 weeks and have nothing like this head gear but have got the longer tail feathers.... mine are bantoms though, will this make much difference? None of them make any noise either so i cant tell from that!! im just trying to work it out as one of the Silkies is definately a cockerell and i obv cant keep 2 together but dont want to give one to my friend if its not as i love the Susex and my OH has got a bit attached to them as well! Ive been home this week and its amazing the change in them as ive been in the garden all week really! they seem to be accepting me a bit more now!
