i maybe just over worrying about nothing but someone at my work has got swine flu i am just wondering whether we can go near our chickens to feed them, egg collect etc if we catch swine flu? does anyone have any info on this?

Please don't take my word on it but i don't think it can be passed to birds.

I thought that in order for flu to pass from one species to another i.e. humans to birds, the birds would need to be concurrently infected with avian flu, which MAY allow infection if the virus mutates? All very unlikely and it's tricky for viruses to cross the species barrier. I'm not a virologist though

I was going to do a post like this.....

Some people in my area have swine flu and im terrified of my girls catching it.

I know that they probably won't but im still very afraid.
