TOMWARDFARM
I have just been recommended Jeyes Fluid for the Hen house (NOT CHICKEN) to eradicate and prevent red mite louse etc. Whats your thoughts?
Egluntyne
If you do use it.....make sure everything is absolutely dry before you allow the hens back in, and that there aren't any accidental spills that they might drink from.
TOMWARDFARM
would it be better than Poultry shield? What dilution does everyone use?
The Dogmother
It will act as an anti-bacterial, but won't kill mites. As per my answer to your PM, it is also toxic to cats and will kill them if they come into contact - they can absorb is through their paws. Best left for pouring down drains. I recommend using a 20% diluation of Poultry Shield Concentrate and squirting it into all the cracks. Follow up when dry with a good powdering of Diatom.
