The only BHWT rescue in our area in the next couple of months with hens available, is on the day we are due to celebrate my Grandad's 90th birthday, so we can't make it. We found an article last night about 1300 chickens at the Swindon & Distric Animal Haven, but by the time I rang this morning they had all been rehomed I was wondering if anyone in this area knew of any other organisations that rehome ex-batts. chickencam Posted July 17, 2009 Author Share Posted July 17, 2009 We emailed the Bristol co-ordinator and she said if we register interest for the September rescue and they have hens that are not collected on 26th July we could pick up any that were left on the 27th.
