Rubyismyduck
as you may have read my remaining duck, Ern had 10 lil cheepers, unfortunatly 5 where caught by the fox and the crows, we named them rikky and francis, they are now about 10 weeks and are really growing, we took them at 1 day and kept them in my old hamster cage with a heat lamp. so Ern now has 3 but we didnt want her to lose more so we juped down to the shop and quickly built a fox/crow proof pen and got her a new drake (named josh) (they were free range at 1st) and kept them for a week. we then took them down to the pond in the village (a lovely sunny paradise) and let them go, it was very sad but they woukd be happyer, but when we released them guess who i saw, Ruby and Drake (the two of my old ducks who supposidly died) with there own ducklings, so all my ducks are living happily in the pond togetther, but we gave erns pen to rikky and francis and they are now with us. Ruby, Ern, Drake, Josh, The Three Muskatiers are all together in paradise pond, i am happy now. ps. with my ducklings rikky and francis, they LOVE cucumber, big tip, FEED THE DUCKLINGS CUCUMBER THEY LOVE IT
Guest
oh we lose a lot of wild ducklings to the crows when they are half grown and quite big too..or they will attack and kill them on the spot. I have seen crows fly off with baby ducklings its not v nice to see..poor things Glad the others are all happy on the pond though indie
