Are you lunching with your neighbours? We are and I'm really looking forward to it. Although we moved here over a year ago we haven't got to know anyone other than the couple next door as neither of us work in the town.

 

I really must make an effort to join a club, do an evening class etc to meet more local people. I was going to go on an organised walk round the common earlier this month but I got the time wrong

Well, if our street is, we don't know anythig about it. Its a great idea though!

There's a anyone invited picnic on the green by the river in our town, its a shame the weather isn't looking that good for it.

There is a village get together but I am not sure if it is connected with The Big Lunch. We had a similar thing a couple of years ago and it was quite nice to meet people that we don't normally see.

 

Ours isn't really a village. It is more a collection of houses on either side of a dual carrigeway so meeting the neighbours isn't always easy!
