Although we moved here over a year ago we haven't got to know anyone other than the couple next door as neither of us work in the town. I really must make an effort to join a club, do an evening class etc to meet more local people. We had a similar thing a couple of years ago and it was quite nice to meet people that we don't normally see. Ours isn't really a village.
