tidygirlsuk
I've been chook watching a lot today and all seemed well. After I had my evening meal I looked out and my Pekin Cockerel was on his back and very wet from the rain. I thought that he was dead. I went out and he was still moving. I picked him up and wapped him in a towel and bought him in the house. He is eating from my hand and drinking. The only visable symptom is that his body feels thin. I did health checks on all my birds last week and he wasn't this thin. I've put him in sick bay. What could this be ?
Egluntyne
Has he been wormed?
tidygirlsuk
I wormed them at the start of the month but I have had concerns that not all of them are eating it. My cockerel lets the girls eat first. I was thinking of changing to a wormer that you can add to water rather than a pellet wormer. What do you think ? Chucky Mama
oh no, I am sorry to hear this, I have only just seen your post . He may have been poorly and the wet pushed him over the edge maybe with hypothermia. What is the wormer that you have been using?
