4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

Got the girls on 17th May and weather has been great until recently, do I just leave them out in the rain, when it first started really heavy rain, I went out to the WIR to encourage them to go inside, but they seem intent on staying our in the rain, when the run is nice and dry, do I leave them to it, some are smarter than others and go in quite quickly, but I worry head girl wont let other in if it is raining.

 

Do I ignore them and let them find their feet.

Mine quite like the rain, unless it suddenly comes down really heavy they'll stay out in it. They do occassionally go into their run and then look at me as if to say can't you stop it?

Does the top chook stop the others going in?

top chook does keep two out and they are too scared to go in so stand under trees until I take a mad attack and run out in the pouring rain to chastise her end result I am in the run alone and all six are outside looking in at me.

I'd leave them to it unless you enjoy getting wet.

 

Mine don't seem to mind the rain although they do have the option of being undercover. They dry quite quickly and seem none the worse.

Mine could go undercover (and we get a lot of rain in Scotland) but don't seem to mind getting wet. The first time I saw them looking completely drookit I couldn't stop laughing at them, they looked so funny.

I'd let them get on with it.

 

When my lot were young they would stand out in rain and get bedraggled.

 

Now, 2 and a half year old ladies, they shoot into the run or under a tree if it more than drizzles. Think they've just got older and wiser.
