We've been reading the posts on leaking cubes and noticed comments on the position of the cube needing to be level. We have already got slabs down for the eglu and are going to site the cube on them as the size is conveniently the same. The garden does fall away from the house slightly so the slabs slope slightly.

 

Will this affect our cube? It won't be sighted unevenly, just slightly sloping.

That should be fine, as long as it's all on one level, as it were.

 

I can't wait to get mine on to slabs. One more trip to the DIY store this weekend should do it!

Mine slopes slightly back, I have had no problem with leaks. I think if it slopes forward you might because the drainage holes in the channels are at the rear.

The slabs are all in the same plane, just sloping slightly on a diagonal tilt.

 

Very helpful point about the direction of the cube Plum. Fortunately this is the direction we had planned, which is the same as the eglu currently standing on the slabs.
