4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

we got our chooks yesterday and when I went to let them into the run this morning I noticed a few funny poos. one didn't look like a poo, it was like bits of mince meat surrounded by a yellow gooey blob, could it have been a yolk (none of them laid this morning). then when I checked on them later on there was a similar yellow stuff next to a soft but more normal poo. there have also been a few soft yellowish poos but not as bad as those to. they all seem fine and are eating/drinking.

 

 

Should we be worried??

They are probably just settling in after the stress of moving. I would just keep an eye on them to make sure that they are all eating and drinking ok.

Yellow, runny poos, ie, kormas! are quite common, dont worry. They are more prolific after a bit of stress, like a car journey or anything out of the ordinary but also about every 10th poo can be like this. They are usually a lot smellier than the normal ones too.

Do you put garlic powder in their food, it helps to neutralise the smells.

no we don't.

the merrydale blue has just done a very soft dark brown with what looks like a bit of blood in it. is this something to worry about?
