Please can anybody give me any pointers regarding somewhere for a nice spa day for my husband and I. Am thinking along the lines of massages, reflexology, facial (for me!) rather than jacuzzi and pool. Don't want to book just the local salon, want it to be a bit more special. Just a day thing somewhere within approx 2 hours from us. Not scarily expensive though. We have just suffered a horrific bereavement (the second this year) and our wedding anniversary is approaching and I want to give us something nice to look forward to.

It's a long time now since I was last there, and judging by it's website it looks like it could be under new ownership but Rowhill Grange always used to be quite lovely. Just outside Dartford, very close to my old home in fact, but I'd suggest that it might be worth investigating further.

I went to Rowhill for a day spa thing a couple of years ago with my mum and sister. We had a lovely time although we did book too many treatments so didn't have enough time just lounging around. Rowhill is set in lovely grounds and we had a great meal there as well. Thats the only one I've been to in Kent.

 

My cousin stayed there once with a friend and had a lovely time.
