laurah
I picked up my four little baby Bantam Pekins on Friday 07.08.09... They are 8-11 weeks old and have settled in nicely - well 3 have; little 8-week old Star is getting mercilessly bullied by the others... At first it was just one bully but now they are all joining in The others make her sleep on her own and chase her around the run all the time... if she does anything at all they are on to her and pecking at her and it is really distressing both her and us!! Is there anything we can for her?? Laura
Guest
can you seperate them into 2 groups and then swap them around so she has a chance to bond one on one, but so they can all still see each other? Also make sure there are several food and water points
laurah
I only have the only little eglu... but I suppose we could partition off the run... Thanks Laura
legend21
Oh good luck it broke my heart when my little dippy was bullied, she is still lowest down the pecking order, but I take her out for treats and bring one other with her so she is not singled out. It has got better as time has went on. splitting them is a great idea. Poor little star good luck let us know how you get on. Jackie
cordelia
I would take her out....beg borrow or borrow another house of some kind...and treat her a new chicken introduction... ( I used a large cat basket, with my spare roosting bars insde, inside a large dog crate, with food and water and straw...covered over with a tarp to keep it waterproof, and thick rugs at night around the closed cat basket inside and all secure.which acted as eglu and run.....it worked really well..) for one week for the newbie, and then for another with the number one hen bully...it takes time, but will save your new chicken...they could see each other, and after two weeks all settled down.. have a look at the introductions page.. Hope everything works out ok
