Vix_Chicks
Hello all Sorry, I only ever seem to ask questions!! - still only my first week of having the girls, so please do bear with me... Hetty and Sheldon seem to be suffering from a 'cold' - by this i mean they are producing a white gloop from their beak. They often keep shaking it off or rub their feet against their beak. Sheldon is also leaving me some beautiful runny yellow poos . I have been feeding them some dried meal worms as a treat...would this have made the poo that colour??! The girls have both been vaccinated, but did come from a farm where they were kept in a barn. Might the change in habitat have brought this on. Would gratefully appreciate any advice please. I just want to make them better (although they are still eating fine, come up to the coop and make their chirping noise ) Thank you
Ain't Nobody Here
I think it's quite common for them to be a bit off colour after a move to a new home. If you think they have a cold, you can give them Citricidal in their water. The runny poos are also quite common in the early days. It should settle down in a few days. You could give them bokashi bran in their feed - it firms up the poos nicely and also reduces smells.
