My local Quilters Guild put on a One woman and her quilts show last night. The woman was Dawn Cameron-Dick. I had a fabulous evening, Dawn was a great speaker, funny and inspiring. She bought along about 30 of her quilts and spoke about the inspiration for each one and told lovely family stories. Afterwards she was happy to let us touch and examine her quilts - her stitching is beautiful.

 

If any of you ever get a chance to go to one of her shows - go! You will have a great time.

Sounds interesting, and so nice to hear of an artist who isn't so precious about her work that others can't enjoy it !!

I think she does do them around the country. She is at FoQ next week as well.
