argent13uk
Hello all, I've had my chickens for about 18 months now and one of them appears to have stopped laying. They both seem to be OK and nothing has changed around the coup. How long to chicken lay for? Do they lay until they die or do they have a menapause? Many thanks! Ain't Nobody Here
That does seem young to have stopped. Have you wormed them?
argent13uk
Typically she has started laying again! well two mornings in a row anyway I think she knew I had posted the question! but I haven't wormed them - should I? chickencam
I find that with one of my hybrid hens she lays in patches then has a break and lays very soft shelled eggs most of the time, she is two and a half.
Ain't Nobody Here
I'm glad to hear you got some eggs . It really is recommended that you worm them every 3 months or so. Most forum members use Flubenvet. If you do a search on the forum you'll find out loads about it .
