Couple of questions for you

Recommended Posts

hi everyone, hope you don't mind but i have a couple of questions.

i need to worm my girls and i can't remember how to do the correct dosage  i've got 4 girls and some flubenvet.

i've also got some cod liver oil but not sure how much to give, how often and how do i give it to them, i know some people put it in the pellets but mine have layers mash, so not sure what to do.

and finally i got some stalosan f, it's in a small shaker container but it doesn't have any instructions on it. do i just shake it all over the soil in the run or do i have to dig it in?

thanx in advance :D

I am starting my girls on working tomorrow, it the flubenvet it 1% I am sure it is a scoop to 2k of feed. I use the cod liver oil when they are laying softies so i dip some of there treats in it of I add it to a scoop of feed.

Stalosan F should be sprinkled on the ground before you place the bedding on top of it.

Hope that helps

Jackie

What Flubenvet did you buy? There is the 1% version and the 2.5% version.

I have the 2.5% one and for my 4 hens I use 1 level teaspoon (i.e a 5ml Calpol spoon) divided by 7 days, then further split into 4 and put inside a grape. I know lots of folk don't get on with the grape method in case 1 chook eats 2 doses, but if you pick up each chook and feed a grape from your hand you know where you're at.

i've got the 2.5%. i've just weighed out the 2kg and 1 teaspoon of flubenvet seems such a small amount! i also don't think the food will last more than a couple of days, so will be making up a couple more batches, is that ok? i didn't realise it would be so complicated :?

it's a shame there is something like you get for dogs and cats that you put on the back of their necks
