I am sad that there is no Valentine Warner to watch tonight. I really enjoyed the series, he's a bit like a naughty big kid but I thought there was something quite appealing about him.

Has anyone tried any of his recipes, I've made the beurre blanc and the upside down apricot flan and orangey honey buns.

I really enjoyed his series but OH said he put him off eating his food not quite sure why.

 

His food looked really yummy and he's so enthusiastic, its great.

I like watching him, in fact me and hubby have bets on how many times he'll say "yum" and how many "wows" there'll be

 

However, I requested his book for the Autumn series last Christmas and, to be honest, it's awful. Half the recipes from the series aren't in there for a start and it's written very very badly - cmpletely impossible to follow.

 

So, it's free to a good home if anyone wants it?

I think the recipes are written quite plainly and I wish I had recorded the first series. The second is firmly on tape to be watched again. It wasn't until I had watched some of the programs again that I suddenly linked it with a certain recipe, they are not flash names and some sound quite boring, but I have to say I like him a lot and I hope there are more series to come.
