TheHunter
Had my ladies for 2 days and there seems to be a mini war going on the the coop. The dominant Bluebelle is pecking at the others feet and causing a right ruckess. I removed the Bluebelle for 40 mins to allow the other 3 to feed and the Sussex took over the job of upsetting everyone. The Black rock and Speckledy seem to be cowering in the corner all the time or run into the nest area after being picked on and pecked. Is this normal or should i have picked 4 of the same breed. How long does it take to sort out the pecking order? Thanks
Egluntyne
I'd make sure that they have plenty of room to escape from eachother, and at least 3 feeding stations.....they can't 'man' them all. Removing the bullies so that the others can eat is a good idea. On average it is around 3 weeks before things are running smoothly.
