Chicks & Growers Pics.

Recommended Posts

I've been taking photos of my babies this morning, some more willingly than others  The 8 week olds were allowed some supervised free ranging today. They all stick together like glue and move as a gang of five. They didn't want their photos taken, they all just wanted to be together so I've got five blurry shots

Steve Speckled Sussex:

Bruce Speckled Sussex has turned out to be Brooke instead:

Doughnut the Ancona I'm fairly sure is a girl:

And mummys best little girl, Lamb Chop the Salmon Faverolle. This is the one who had a splayed leg and bent toes. She walks with a limp but at least she has fully functioning legs now after all we went through. Of course she's not going anywhere now and will stay here to be constantly cuddled by me :D

I've not had a Faverolle before, does anyone know when they're ruffly muffly bits appear? I think she's either a slow developer or a particularly bad specimen of Faverolle.

And then we come to my youngest ones, all four weeks old. Another Faverolle from the same breeder of Lamb Chop, this one is called Sausage:

Never had Pekins before either but I'm inclined to think our little Custard is probably a boy:

My eldest daughter Daisy always seems to chose chicks that are boys to claim as hers or girls that are so noisy they need to be rehomed. I think she's done it again and that her Silkie Nymphadora is a boy:

Whereas my Silkie Nelly seems to be a girl:

And last but not least, our gorgeous frizzle girl Hob"Ooops, word censored!"!

She's so friendly, always the first one out and she's so pretty. We love her to bits.
