sorry about this, yet another question.......

 

I am sure that this is fine and normal, BUT my girls have roundish golfball sized lumps around the area of their breastbones......really, is this normal????

ETA - I have just looked it up - well I never, I had no idea that they had one of those - phew, thanks, that is a weight off my mind - just a pair of greedy girls

Thats ok, when you first spot it they do look very strange, Christian warned me that when I first saw a very full crop it would scare me in to thinking there was something very wrong!

 

The only time you have to worry is if they are still full in the morning

I have only ever felt them at about 5pm after a day of free roaming, pulling the garden to pieces, having had a grape treat and a little corn, no wonder they were full........they will have been with us 2 weeks tomorrow and Amelie started laying last Saturday, just waiting for Audrey to start doing her bit. The longer they are here the more I am enamoured...

Have you spotted their preen gland yet as that looks a bit like a boil and can scare newbies into a panic. It's at the end of their body near the tail. I know I was glad I already knew what it was
