4m x 3m Omlet pen, cube, new auto door still boxed and coop light

So me and the DH spent 2 hours building a paving slab base for our girls' coop and run. Well DH did while I supervised - I had gone to buy the slabs this morning all on my own.

 

Not an easy job to lay the new area as the original bark run was layed on gravel over solid earth full of builders rubble. It took some time to clear and level off.

 

At 2:15pm all was ready for the girls to move back into their sparkling clean new surroundings. And I was ready to settle down in front the telly to watch the rugby league Challenge Cup final with a nice cup of tea.

 

Egg noodles at the ready (especially saved from last night's tea) I got 2 of the 3 in, no problems. Joy, the little madam, was having none of it. No noodles, no corn, no pellets, no talking to, no gentle urging in the right direction, no herding, no threatening. She will not let me pick her up - a stroke of her beautiful feathers is a minor miracle.

 

After 30 minutes, I took a deep breath, stood hand on hips and found myself telling her that she could stay out all night for all I cared and not to come moaning to me if Mr Fox ate her and I spied my neighbours over the back of my garden watching me from behind the bedroom curtains.

 

When she finally decided to go home, I have missed most of the first half of the rugby and am absolutely shattered. More shattered than the worse work out from the personal trainer or the evil Spin teacher when he's 'on one'. So I might as well cancel the gym membership now.

I get tired trying to chase my girls round the garden to pick em up,it's less hassle taking all 4 dogs a walk separately
